One of my recent purchases was this statement necklace from H&M. I don't really go for necklaces like this but there was something about this one that I liked..... and the fact that it was £9.99 helped. The dark silver colour and the pearls make it really wearable and easy to match with outfits.
I showed the necklace to my sister and she immediatly thought it looked tacky, but after trying it on with a few outfits she was converted. Personally, I think that this necklace would look amazing worn with a simple black dress and hair scraped back into a bun for a night out. For day time I would wear it partially tucked under the collar of a shirt to give the look an edge, and this is how a chose to wear it for uni the other day.....
I had compliments from my fellow students and even got a lovely comment from the lady that served me in Starbuck's in Notting Hill who said that she wouldn't usually buy that kind of thing but thought it looked nice with the outfit!
It just goes to show that you should try new things becuase you could be pleasantly suprised.
