Sally Hansen cuticle massage cream

So I was thinking about purchasing some sort of cuticle remover recently until I was in Bodycare and saw this massage cream on sale!  I thought I would give it a go as it seems less drastic as a remover.  It claims to soften and moisturise rag nails and cuticles and leave your fingers looking post salon beautiful!  I've been using this for a few days now (massaging it into my cuticles daily) and it has already made a difference to the appearance of my nails! My cuticles are moisturised and are therefore less obviously visible.  The same with any rag nails.  It also makes my nail varnish look smarter and neater too! Win win!  It also has a really pleasant apricot scent and gloriously creamy texture.  For £3.99 its a brilliant product!  I really do love Sally Hansen products.

V05 Plump it up dry backcombing spray

Boots!  Yet again you have drawn me in with your amazing offers.  The offer in question this time was '2 for £5' on all V05 products.  I bought my usual heat protect styling spray and this, the Plump it up dry backcombing spray.  I was actually after a volumising powder but then saw this spray alternative and thought it would be easier to use and less visually obvious than the usual white powder.  I tried this out before I went out on Friday night and was pleasantly surprised.  For starters, like all the other new V05 products, it smells amazing!  It sprays beautifully and evenly and doesn't leave any visible residue.  My hair was volumised to the max!  it really does work, and with a little help from some hairspray it creates the perfect volumised style.  AND it doesn't leave your hair feeling horrible and full of product!  Well done V05!

this works - deep sleep pillow talk

Right, I'm not a person who finds unwinding and going to sleep at night easy.  A lot of the time I find myself laying in bed trying to switch off but it just doesn't happen sometimes and this can be really annoying, especially when I'm actually tired and WANT to sleep.  This is where this works deep sleep pillow talk comes to the rescue.  I read about these products on Milkteef's blog and HAD to give them a go.

As you are about to go to bed you spray your pillow lightly with the pillow spray.  The spray smells like lavender but its not too heady and strong.  You then use the stress less roll and apply it to your wrists.  This smells slightly more like eucalyptus but again, not too strong.

I was amazed how well this worked.  As soon as my head hit the pillow and I breathed in the lovely fresh lavender smell I felt instantly calmer and relaxed.  It doesn't instantly knock you out but I definitely think it helped me drift off.  This combo was £22 which seems a bit pricey but for the amount you need each time it will certainly last a while.  I am 100% happy with this purchase!

Color show nail varnish in Peach pie

So whilst on my trip to the Trafford centre I was drawn into Boots by their 'buy one get one half price' offer they are currently running.  After restraining myself from buying a million things I didn't need, I came away with two nail varnishes from the Maybelline Color show range.  One of which is named 'Peach pie'.  After been attracted to the name (I'm a sucker for quirky product names) I fell in love with the colour.  Its a milky barely-peach neutral which is very like Essie's 'Mademoiselle'.  The brush makes the varnish easy to apply, however I do think that you need at least three coats for the colour to match the bottle.  For the price of this varnish (£2.99) I can't really complain about anything really.  The finish is lovely, smooth and glossy.  It's just a classic, chic nude!
